Profession. Duskblade . When not adventuring Bryll… Well Bryll is only “skilled” in arcana, engineering, and geography. So he could work as a mine inspector on structural integrity and supports or potentially as a scribe. The town is not that big so I don’t know what if anything would be needed. He is not really concerned with having a “job”. If he has free time he would spend it poking about looking for clues to where some star metal may be. Oh and he would be alert for word of bandits but he is no tracker and is NOT trying to find them on his own.

Favorite Weapon. Spiked chain. Growing up among the elves Bryll was stronger than most but not as agile. The spiked chain is his compromise where he can get the flexibility and agility like an elf, but still use his power.

Obvious pet peeve. None obvious. Bryll is very easy going. The elves long lifespan and outlook has rubbed off on him and he generally takes a long term view of things. While he is still really young and very rarely has this problem he is worried about getting old and references to the short life span of humans or other comments on his mortality bug him. Other than that he really despises bandits (not thieves but bandits) since his parents were killed by bandits a long time ago and is the reason he was raised by the elves.

Characters ultra "likes". There is no one specialty. Bryll is not a heavy drinker and while he likes women is not a womanizer. In fact he has never “been” with a woman. Growing up with elves he always felt a bit out of place and is not comfortable and with others so lacks confidence in social skills. He is not into horses or other animals as the elves lived more in tune with nature and so had few domesticated animals. He likes nature and just being outdoors, enjoying cool breezes and the like. He also is very big on any contest/game/etc that is physically demanding and exhausting. He likes the feel of being worn out after same struggle where his muscles complain that. It makes him feel alive and since he was always stronger than most it gives him confidence. He is almost always up for a game of football, a race, a tree chopping contest, arm wrestling, or any other activity where you have to burn a lot of energy. This is also why he will occasionally just practice with his chain for an hour or 2 until worn out. He likes to push his body and feel alive that way.

Background. “Bryll of the elves” is an elf. Well an honorary one anyway. His parents were killed by bandits while passing through Gamboge Forest. The elves found the wreckage of the carriage hours later with only the dead left behind and Bryll. Byll never even met his parents, he mother gave birth early because of the attack and died during it. It was not until months later that they even found out who his parents were so they had nobody to send him too. He was adopted by the elves, who he has always considered his parents. But despite being welcomed and treated well he never fully fit in. He was larger and stronger than the other elves his age and not as nimble as those he emulated. They even taught him their fighting style, but he could just not match the grace of the other elves so learned to use a spiked chain to emulate the fluid nature they fought. Despite better efforts that he was not an elf became more and more of a problem. He outgrew elves his age and was “too young” to hand with elves older but more like a teen. Things came to a head last year when he started paying particular attention to some of the maidens. Not wanting him to get involved with anyone as the age difference and lifespan would cause a lot of problem he was encouraged to take a while and see more of the world and meet more of his own kind before doing anything rash. Bryll naturally gravitate to this area and the watchmen after hearing about how they were dedicated to getting rid of bandits since bandits killed his parents.

Personally. Much of the elven lifestyle has rubbed off on Bryll. He generally does not worry about time passing like an elf and has the same chaotic nature they do. He has embraced Kord only since leaving the elves as it just felt right. Bryll is a bit brash at times and very curious, but tends to flit from thing to thing and not remain focused on any one activity long. He is shy at first with people until he gets to know them. Bryl tends to be thoughtful but his mind wanders and he does a lot of idle speculation when not engaged.

Appearance. Bryll is on the tall side at 5’11 and 198 pounds. He is built, and muscular but it is definition not mass of muscle. Think triple H or John Cena (wrestlers) not a Brock Lestner mass of muscle. His hair is straight and generally kept relatively short and neat. He typically wears nice clothes kept clean and fresh along with a felt hat wit a feather in it when just relaxing and not on duty. While working for the watchmen or on the road he will wear the chainmail and wolf skin cloak. In either case he wears the Watchmen’s pin proudly. When he walks it is a fair imitation to an elves lithe gilding, but his larger frame and weight make it almost a mockery. He talks quietly and almost never raises his voice. Occasionally he can be seen stroking an imaginary beard.
